A plan you can actually stick to.

Build a strategy with AI, backtest it against years of history, and let a paper bot follow the rules — so decisions aren't left to emotion. Every strategy shows its risk, not just its wins.

Educational tools and AI-generated analysis — not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. All tickers and figures on this page are illustrative.

What it does

Built for the hours you don't have.

Describe it in English

A guided AI interview turns “favor strength on pullbacks, define the exit before the entry” into concrete, testable rules — entries, exits, and position rules included.

Backtest before you commit

See how the rules would have behaved across years of history — returns, win rate, and crucially max drawdown — before any real money is involved.

Paper bots follow the rules

A bot paper-trades your strategy with zero real dollars, logging every signal and outcome — so you can study how the plan behaves, and whether you'd follow it.

How it works

Four steps, zero busywork.

No setup marathon — it's useful on day one and gets more personal as you add the stocks you care about.

01

Describe your approach

The Strategy Builder interviews you in plain English and drafts precise, testable rules from your answers.

02

Define the risk first

Every strategy carries defined entry, target, and exit rules — the risk plan is built in, not bolted on.

03

Test it against history

Backtests replay the rules over years of market data and show the ugly parts too: drawdowns, losing streaks, flat stretches.

04

Let a paper bot run it

The bot follows the rules with no real money and full logs — evidence about the strategy and your own discipline.

FAQ

Good questions.

Does Ticker Coach trade for me?
No — and it can't. Brokerage connections are read-only, and bots are paper-only. Ticker Coach never places, routes, or executes real trades.
What is backtesting?
Replaying a strategy's rules over historical market data to see how they would have behaved. It's a study tool: backtests don't include every real-world cost (fees, slippage) and past performance never guarantees future results.
Are backtest results predictive?
No. A strong backtest means the rules fit the past, which can also mean overfitting. Treat results as evidence to study — especially the drawdowns — not as a promise about the future.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe your approach in plain English and the AI interview turns it into rules you can read, edit, and test.
Can I start from a template?
Yes — method-based starting points like momentum pullbacks, box breakouts, and trend-following screens are included. Each is educational and fully editable, and every one shows its historical risk alongside its results.
